Willow Tree Landscapes

In a series of paintings by Andrzej Jackowski entitled ‘The Voyage’ He harnesses a methodology of a familiar, calm setting to paint a mirror of his sub-conscious through repeated practice. I was so awestruck by this series I created my own series of Willow Trees. As long as i can remember my idea of a peaceful resting space has been beneath a willow tree, by a body of water. Through repeated, impulsive sketches without deeper thought behind pen’s actions I have created reflections of myself.
